2026 May Newsletter

From the Office of the President
We are thrilled to share some exciting updates about our upcoming seminars and the creative opportunities ahead!
This October, we will be hosting our Fall Seminar, featuring guest artist Pat Lentine, who will be joining us from Florida. Pat is widely recognized for her expertise in portrait work across acrylic, colored pencil, and watercolor. This seminar will focus on techniques in colored pencil and watercolor, with a special emphasis on capturing expressive, lifelike faces. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from Pat’s depth of knowledge in blending, layering, and achieving realistic detail making this an exceptional experience for artists looking to refine their portrait skills.
There is a real sense of enthusiasm building around this event, as it offers not only technical development but also the chance to connect with fellow artists who share a passion for creativity and learning. We are confident it will be both enriching and energizing for everyone involved.
We are also especially excited as we are approaching our very first Zoom seminar in June featuring Lynne Andrews. This inaugural event marks the beginning of something truly special for our community, and we look forward to the inspiration and expertise she will bring. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic experience, and we can’t wait to see it come to life.
As a quick reminder for those preparing materials: the pattern for the plate should be reduced to 90%.
We hope you’ll join us for these upcoming events and take part in the creativity, learning, and excitement they promise. More details will be shared soon!
