2025 December Newsletter
We have worked hard as a club to bring in new techniques, explore fresh styles, and offer
Behind the scenes, we have also dedicated time to improving club functioning, refining processes, and strengthening communication to help everything run more smoothly. Every improvement has been made possible through collaboration and the willingness of members to help wherever they can.
One of the greatest joys of this role has been spending time with each of you—painting together, laughing together, and fostering the sense of community that makes this club so special. Our meetings and paint-ins are more than scheduled events; they are moments of connection, encouragement, and genuine friendship.
As we celebrate our progress, we also pause to honor the talented painters we have lost over these past two years. Their artistry and warmth enriched our club, and their memory continues to inspire the creativity we share today.
We have received some gracious donations, which we really appreciate. You can find links to their web sites on the Links page of our web page. We are working to determine the best ways to integrate these resources into the coming year.
Our goal is to continue offering new, fresh paint-ins, increase participation, and stay aligned with the evolving trends in the painting world.
Seminar negotiations have been very successful, and we’re thrilled to announce that Lynn Andrews and Pat Lentine will be coming this year. January’s paint-in will be gourd burning, followed by February’s paint-in with Maxine Thomas teaching a brand new design. These are all great opportunities to learn and connect. As always, we would love for you to teach something new you’ve discovered or a technique you’re passionate about. Your creativity helps keep our club vibrant.
I am also very much looking forward to our Holiday Party at Wingers, our traditional White Elephant gift exchange and raffle prizes to celebrate and honor you and your talent. If you haven’t RSVP’d yet, it’s not too late! Please contact me so I can make arrangements for additional place settings with the restaurant.
Thank you for being part of the Golden Spike Decorative Painters and for welcoming me so warmly over these past two years. I am grateful to each of you and excited for all that lies ahead.
