2010 May Newsletter

Ladies,

If you missed the Spring Seminar with Della Wetterman, I’m sad. A good time was had by all who attended. Della’s projects are deceiving. To look at the finished product one may think a stroke here and another here then it is done. Not so. We worked on the first project for the entire two days and I think only one or two fast painters completed it. Her mudding technique is very interesting. I’m not sure anyone completely finished the second project.

Della is a very friendly and generous teacher. She donated a large tin piece every day for our raffle in addition to giving all in attendance small tin water can and then let us choose a tin ornament. I picked the rooster, of course. The lunches were delightful, too much food as usual. Thank you to all who helped in any way.

MYSTERY PAINT-IN – AUGUST 14, 2010
During the Spring Seminar, I gave a hint a day and so to bring everyone up to date these are the hints so far:
Smaller than a bread box and larger than a pin cushion
Teacher does not live in Utah
Jo Sonja style design
Background color is black
No Prep work
New hint: Teacher is a female

Make sure to signup either by signing the Sign-up Sheet or contact Tirzah or Nancy. The class fee is $25.00. You only need to bring your regular painting supplies (brushes, wash basin, pallet, paper towels, etc).

Our “Get Well” message goes out to Glenda Mitchell who had back surgery and Nancy Coley who had her knee repaired. It’s good to hear that Wendy and Jolynn are recovering from their surgeries in great fashion.

Happy Painting and Have FUN,

CarolAna

Thursday's hint was "the background is black". Friday's hint was the teacher does not live in Utah". CarolAnn reminded us that the cost is just TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS and everything will be provided except for your paint brushes. The signup sheet is on the front table. It will be lots of fun and everyone is encouraged to join us.

Also on the front table are the signup sheets for the May Memory box Paint-in (the Chapter supplies the boxes), the June Black-and-White Tulip, and the July Peacock Egg bowl.

Everyone was invited to have some coffee, fruit, and muffins. There is also a cooler with bottles of water.

Time was then turned over to Della.
