Hello Ladies,


Wow!!!  What a great seminar!!!!  It was so nice to be back with all of our painting pals

Heidi was fantastic as usual! 

I look forward to painting with everyone again!

I want to thank everyone who helped with the seminar. It really was wonderful!

3/4", #12 flat, #2 Script Liner
hair dryer (optional)

Prep Instructions:

This piece was painted on a canvas. You may paint it on any surface you wish. Have your background based and dried. See pictures for background ideas.

The Paint-in will be held at the Westwood Village Clubhouse (1111 N. 2000 W., Farr West, UT).Take I-15 #346 and go north on 2000 W/UT-126 0.6 of mile. The Clubhouse is on the west side of the street with parking on the west side of the building.





More Painting Opportunities - Utah Guild of Heritage Artists (SLC)

October 15 and 16 - Sandy Mc Tier Seminar (in person at the studio as of now) [acrylics]

Paints will be supplied. To keep prices down you will need to supply your own surface(s). $100 per day for members; an additional $25 per day ($50 if doing both days) for non-members or become a member for $25.

October 15th - Journal Pages (or other surface approximately 7 X 10) - Acrylics/Mixed Media - Stencils, stamps, etc possible.  Grateful page will be main page - will work on other as Grateful page dries. The Grumbacher Journal with removable and returnable pages (7X10) is currently on sale at Michael's buy one get one 50% off (I am told).  I saw them at WalMart on Ft Union and 1300 E for $13.56.



October 16th - Red Hibiscus - acrylics on canvas or wood panel board 9 X12.



November 20 - Water droplets on a cabbage leaf - Jacque will be teaching on a Journal page or alternate surface $10 - this is acrylics



Spotlight on Local and Visiting Artists

Maxine Thomas

Author Maxine Thomas, has been painting and creating Country Primitives since 1976. Her first painting class was right after she put her oldest son on the bus to kindergarten, which has led her on a journey from beginner, to teaching a class or two, to designing her first packet, then her first book... and finally, teaching at seminars on the road and at national conventions.

Maxine has written 24 Country Primitives Instructional Books on Decorative and Tole Painting and also developed a line of Pattern Packets. As a Travel Teacher Maxine is a regular at many conventions and seminars both in the USA and abroad.
