2014 July Newsletter

THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH

You can talk yourself into success. The secret? A simple but Life-changing shift in vocabulary. Trading 'I can't' for 'I can'. Replacing 'maybe' with 'definitely'. Switching out 'not me' for 'why not me?' Believe in yourself, and that confidence will carry you toward your dreams! Reaching high keeps people on their toes!!!!

Hi Painters!
We are all sorry that Glenda Mitchell will be leaving our chapter and moving to Winnemucca this month, but her husband has obtained a job which he has wanted for a long time. Good Luck to you both. We will miss you, but be sure to come see us when you can.
We want to thank Linda Allen for sharing her delightful Shara Rhiner tool board with us this month. The class was having a fun time, but I had to leave as I had a Family Reunion and a Wedding I had to attend. Thanks to all the Provo ladies who came for Linda's class. We really appreciate all of you.
Everyone be sure and check out the Zentangle class for this month on the blog site and if you haven't signed up be sure to call Pat Reeder at 801-476-9366.
Also, if you haven't signed up for the Fall Seminar be sure and check out the blog and see what we will be painting.
A great summer to everyone. Enjoy because it won't be too long until fall and all the beautiful flowers will be gone as well as all the nice fresh vegetables which I really enjoy during the summer.
Hope we see you soon and may God bless.

Gloria

2015 Paint-ins
The Board would like some input from the Chapter members about next year's Paint-ins and fall Seminar. What kind and style of projects would you like to paint? Who would you like as teachers? Would you willing to teach a class and if so, what would you teach? Please give this some serious thought. We are here for You. Contact any of the Board members with your ideas.

2014 Chapter Service Project
This year again, the Chapter will be continuing the Food Drive as our Community Service Project. Last year was very successful and we hope to do even better this year. Members are urged to bring items for the Food Bank to each Paint-in and Seminar they attend. (See our Food Bank Donations Guideline page for information on acceptable items or go the the Utah Food Bank web site for more information.) There is a lot of need, so we hope everyone will support this effort.
