 2020 September Newsletter

Hello Ladies,

I hope everyone can send pictures of their work!  It helps keep us inspired.  It is nice being connected with other artists and it motivates us to do more.  It has been hard to pick up a paintbrush during all of this chaos.   I hope the pictures inspire us to continue and not give up!

Until we paint again!!!  (Together!!)

Helen

A big thanks to everyone who have shared their pictures with us. We would love to see what the rest of you have been doing. So email them to us so we can post them in the next newsletter.

Hope you're doing well. Eileen and I took a virtual class from Michelle Walton and we painted these Hope chests. We're working on her fairy tale clock now. Take care and hopefully this isolation will end soon so we can resume painting together.

We are doing fine. My oldest granddaughter begins at Utah State. I have taken Zoom classes from Sandy McTier as well as painted some little gourds.

It has been so long since I painted.  I just started painting again this last week (first time since January.)  It has just been such a busy time with moving, keeping my girls (and myself) sane!  Painting relieves the stress, and I am so glad I started again.  Practice makes perfect. Here are two of the 3 wooden wreaths I have painted.

Had great plans for myself, Julie and my sister from Australia to fly to Rome and take advantage of the painting class with Carol Sphon in Tuscany this fall and also a last class with JoSonja in October but since both were postponed till next year I have done nothing except finish many of my UFO!!! Many from many years ago! Many, many, many years!!! Here are just a few of the pieces I have finished thanks to Covid!

Sending basket and stool by Michelle (from many years ago), Sandy's drink dispenser (even used that for the fourth), Russian pair of sandwich boards and hanger, Ruth Green Rosemaled box, Goradetz plate, Jo's whale plate and Helen Jeglick tray.

All is well here. As many of you know, my family love their light boxes with the removable panels that I have been painting for them. So I have kept busy painting more. I have finished the 12 month + 2 set for all six of the boxes. Here is a sample of the 20+ I have completed since February including the autumn leaf cascade I designed and had cut for me. Also here is the owl I was to have taught this fall.
