2014 June Newsletter

THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH
Believe and Achieve---'I can' and 'I will' are so much stronger the 'I can't' and 'I wont''. Hope always outlasts doubt. And negativity only has the power to hold you back---but positivity has the power to make things happen. Give it a chance to work its magic!“

May's paint-in was a Russian Floral box taught by June Skollingsberg. It was a wonderfully fun class and I believe most of us had our piece almost finished. We really enjoyed the ladies that came from Logan, Salt Lake, etc. to take the class. Come for another class soon ladies.

Check out our Chapter blog for all the details for the following classes:
June 28th – Toll Holder with Shara Reiner design taught by Linda Allen
July 26th –- Zentangle class taught by Glenda Mitchell

Don't forget we have another seminar coming up this fall with Peggy Harris.

COME ONE, COME ALL Tirzah has a finishing class for all those projects you haven't completed. The class is held at the Riverdale Senior Center (4433 S 900 W) at 10:00 am until 3:00 pm. You can have lunch there for $2.50.

Hope to see you soon and may God bless you all.

Gloria

2015 Paint-ins
The Board would like some input from the Chapter members about next year's Paint-ins and fall Seminar. What kind and style of projects would you like to paint? Who would you like as teachers? Would you willing to teach a class and if so, what would you teach? Please give this some serious thought. We are here for You. Contact any of the Board members with your ideas.

2014 Chapter Service Project
This year again, the Chapter will be continuing the Food Drive as our Community Service Project. Last year was very successful and we hope to do even better this year. Members are urged to bring items for the Food Bank to each Paint-in and Seminar they attend. (See our Food Bank Donations Guideline page for information on acceptable items or go the the Utah Food Bank web site for more information.) There is a lot of need, so we hope everyone will support this effort.
