2019 March Newsletter

March is a month of considerable frustration. It is so near spring and yet across a great deal of the country the weather is still so violent and changeable that out of door activities in our yards seems light years away. Spring time is the land awaking, March winds are the morning yawn.

Hi Ladies,

I can't wait for spring, how about you?
With spring comes the Chapter's first seminar with Bill Bayer. He will be doing an oil painting called “Great Oak”. Bill will be supplying the canvas with pattern applies, oil paints and mediums, and color photo with instructions. You still have time to before the March 15th cut off to sign up. He is a fantastic oil painter.

We've had fun classes this year-to-date. The plates with Cheri Ringer turned out beautiful. Tirzah will be teaching a rosemauling the end of March. It is a beautiful piece. In May we will be doing something different. It's high tea. So come join us. Check out the blog for the rest of the year's class schedule and more about the tea.

Come and join us for fun and friends.

Aloha, Lydia

2019 Paint-ins
The Board would like some input from the Chapter members about next year's Paint-ins and Seminars. What kind and style of projects would you like to paint? Who would you like as teachers? Would you willing to teach a class and if so, what would you teach? Please give this some serious thought. We are here for You. Contact any of the Board members with your ideas.

2019 Chapter Service Project
Every year the Chapter has supported worthy causes in our community. This year we will be supporting the local Food Bank and Catholic Community Services. The Chapter will collect money at paint-ins and seminars. Please be generous with your support. There is a lot of need out there. Thanks!

Raffles
This year we would like to ask all members to bring a NICE raffle item. You will receive two Christmas raffle tickets for your item. Painting supplies like palette paper, brushes, and tracing paper are always welcome as are nice wood or metal surfaces. Other items could include potted plants and candy. If you would like to receive it, it will probably make a good raffle item.
