2011 November Newsletter

Dear Painters:

What a beautiful time of year. I love the changing seasons and the Thanksgiving Holiday meeting with family and friends to give thanks for our many blessings. This fall was especially beautiful. The colors were some of the most brilliant I have seen. It really feeds my appetite to paint.

We are looking forward to Judy Grahams Class and it is worth the wait to paint with her. If you don’t have your tin piece please contact Tirzah as soon as possible.

This month we get a bonus because we get to get together twice to paint. Cheri Ringgers’ Class with Santa Express will be a great addition to you Christmas decorations.

The Christmas Party this year will be at the Prairie Schooner, 11:00, on December 10th. The cost is only $5.00 and the Board has some fun things planned. The entrees will be Country Fried Steak, Marinated Prairie Chicken Breast, Grilled Pork Chop or Fish and Chips. Please let me know your entree choice no later than December 1st, 801 698-0418. Hope to see you there.

Remember that we need to get our Membership Dues for next year. The price is still $15.00

Please take note of the additions to the Standing Rules. (Go to 'By-laws/Standing Rules' and look for the red Italicized additions.) We will vote on these additions at the next paint-in.

I would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving.

Keep painting

Nancy

!!! ATTENTION LADIES !!!

October 29th Paint-in

The tins for the October Paint-in piece 'To Grandmother's House We Go' did not arrive as promised by the supplier.

Since the Riverdale Community Center is already scheduled, we will go ahead with a paint-in, but it will be a 'bring your own project' or 'finish a project' day. We will start and 11 am and go to 4 pm.

The supplier says the tins are on the way. We will get them to you ASAP. Judy Graham has said that she is willing to re-schedule the project for November 12th, so we have arranged to have the Riverdale Community Center for that date. Contact Tirzah (801-825-2660) if you have any questions.

2011 October Newsletter

Dear Painters:

I can’t believe that it is October and the year is almost over. It is great to see the wonder colors in our canyons and foothills. The colors give you the urge to paint.

We have had some wonderful Paint-Ins and Seminars this year, the most recent with Bill Bayer was a lot of fun and I hope the members that participated enjoyed it as much as I did.

I want to thank all of the Board Members who worked so hard to make our Paint-Ins, Seminars and Socials so very successful. Also, a big thanks to all who brought raffles. Your time and effort has made our activities very enjoyable and a lot of fun.

Please take note of the changes in date, time, and location of the October Paint-in caused by the delay in getting the tins.

Our Christmas Party will be on December 10th at the Prairie Schooner Restaurant. Please let me know if you plan to attend so that we can get an accurate head count. 801 621-7564

October is National SDP Painting Month and time to pay our Chapter Dues.

Keep painting and happy Halloween.
