 2022 July Newsletter




Hello Painters, 


Well Summer is upon us and the Chapter is celebrating with a

Red, White and Blue Summer Social Pot Luck We hope many of you can join us.
 
Then in August we will have our Fall Seminar with Heidi EnglandThe Turkey Centerpiece is really something special. Check it out !!! There is a limit to the class size, so sign up now if you are interested. Special note: Heidi has indicated that she may no longer be travel teaching after the end of this year. If you want to paint with her, this may be your last chance!

September we will be doing a really cute Witch Banner and October will be a Winter Scene with Helen.

Christmas Raffles


This year at our Christmas Party we will again be having a special raffle. It will be large wooden Tine filled with lots of goodies, including pictures of ideas for painting or finishing your piece.

Tickets will be on sale from now until the drawing at the party. The cost is $1.00 per ticket. You do NOT have to be present to win.

Red, White and Blue Summer Social Pot Luck
July 9th (Saturday) 11am

Join us for a Red, White and 
Blue Summer Social Pot Luck. We will have food, Bingo with books and other prizes, and a chance to visit with old and new friends.

The Chapter will be providing Hot  Dogs and all the fixings, Pulled Pork, Baked Beans, a Pasta Salad, Brownies, Lemonade and Ice Water.

We can still use Potato or other summer salads, Chips and Dips, and cookies or other deserts.

So RSVP to let us know you are coming and what you would like to bring. You can email us or call Terry (801-731-6425) or Nancy (801-825-7011). 

The Social will be held in Tirzah Probasco's back yard (116 W. 600 N., Clearfield, UT). Take 1-15 to exit #335 and go west onto 650 N., cross Main Street, take the next left onto James St., James St. turnes right and becomes 600 N. Tirzah's home is on the south side of the street.

Heidi England Seminar

Teacher:

Date:              August 23rd – 25th 
                       (Tuesday –Thursday) 9am – 3pm   
Cost:             $300

Cost includes wood for the Turkey, paints, pictures, instructions, lunches, etc.

Seminar: (There is a limit of 20 people for this seminar.) A $50 non-refundable deposit must be paid to hold your place in the class and allow for the wood to be ordered. The balance for the seminar must be paid when the patterns and wood are picked up. All checks should be made out to Golden Spike Decorative Painters and mailed to 470 W. 4900 S., Ogden , UT 84405.

The Seminar will be held at the Riverdale Senior Center 4433 S. 900 W. in Riverdale. Directions: Exit I-15 at Riverdale and go east 0.6 mi to stop light at 900 W. Turn left onto 900 W and proceed north for 0.2 mi. (The Community Center will be on the left.)

Lunches are included in the seminar price. All lunches will include beverages and dessert.

Cost:           $7.50 (class fee)
Surface:     $4.00 Roc-LonBanner and Bat
Date:           September 17th  (Saturday)  10:00 am - Note the change of date
(setup and chat time 9:30-10:00)

Note: Tirzah has the Roc-Lon banners ready to prep. Please contact her (801-336-7900) if you want one.

Palette: Americana
       Midnight Green                     

Prep Instructions:
Base coat Roc-Lon with Midnight Green on both sides. Use a roller as it works best. Apply two coats. Base cost bat with black. Trace on pattern.

The Paint-in will be held at the Westwood Village Clubhouse (1111 N. 2000 W., Farr West, UT).Take I-15 #346 and go north on 2000 W/UT-126 0.6 of mile. The Clubhouse is on the west side of the street with parking on the west side of the building.
