Dear Painters,
What a great time we all had at the Heidi England Seminar. She is a great teacher with a charming personality. She taught us a lot about the history of Germany plus other countries that she has been to. Thanks Carol for hosting Heidi.
I want to thank the Board again for all their help in making this a successful Seminar. A big thanks for all those who donated some really great items for the raffle.
I want to remind everyone that the paint-in has been changed to the fourth Saturday of each month, same time, same place.
This month Terry will teaching a "Candle and Base" painted with Lilacs. It is a beautiful project. In March, Gloria will be teaching a "Lace Pattern Jewelry Box". If you haven’t signed up, please do so as soon as possible so that the Teachers can plan accordingly.
Remember to bring a food donation each month for a free raffle ticket.
Have a happy Valentines Day and keep painting.
Nancy

2011 Chapter Service Project
Beginning in January, the Chapter will be starting a Food Drive as a new Community Service Project. Members are urged to bring items for the Food Bank to each Paint-in they attend. (See our Food Bank Donations Guideline page for information on acceptable items or go the the Utah Food Bank web site for more information.) In return for bring items, members will receive one free raffle ticket. There is a lot of need in these hard times, so we hope everyone will support this effort.
Seminar Recipes
Over the years we have had some really great food prepared by our members. In the past we have published some of the recipes on the web site. A number of ladies requested receipes from this year's menu. So we have decided to add a new page to our blog containing recipes from not only this year, but past years as well. It will take a bit to gather them all up, so check back later. If you have any requests, let me know......Terry
