Hello Everyone,
Wow, we had a great time painting with Heidi. What a sweetheart. The Noah’s Tables turned out just beautiful.
Again I want to thank the following: The Board members for all the work that they did to make the Seminar such a success. Terry for volunteering to take care of the kitchen and other task so we could all paint. The cooks that prepared such delicious meals. The Salt Lake Chapter for helping with the Friday’ s lunch. Helen (and her daughters) for the cute boxes filled with the animal crackers. Pat for all the solicitations which yielded such wonderful donations for our raffles. Gloria for the new badges. Nancy and Tirzah for doing the grocery shopping. Eileen for collecting all the monies. Everyone who donated raffle prizes, like the beautiful quilted hand bag from Glenda. Tirzah for all the behind scenes phone calls, emails, getting in touch with Bryon (our wood cutter) and all the little details it takes in planning a seminar. And most of all Heidi for doing a great job as always and all the painters from near and far away, without your participation we couldn’t have had such a great seminar.
I hope you all signed up for the April beginner class. It will be fun helping a newbie to learn to paint. And in May, a Stroke work piece by Carol Hillier.
So come and join us for a lot of painting fun.
Keep on painting
Lydia

2012 Chapter Service Project
This year again, the Chapter will be continuing the Food Drive as our Community Service Project. Last year was very successful and we hope to do even better this year. Members are urged to bring items for the Food Bank to each Paint-in and Seminar they attend. (See our Food Bank Donations Guideline page for information on acceptable items or go the the Utah Food Bank web site for more information.) There is a lot of need, so we hope everyone will support this effort.

Heidi got right down to painting and basically didn't stop until Saturday at 4:30 by which time she had worn everyone out. Everyone seemed to have had a great time as Heidi is such a sweet lady and fun teacher.
Lunch was served every day. Thursday there were 2 soups, green salad, rolls and cookies. Friday was a baked potato bar with all the fixings with cakes and cookies for desert. Saturday was chicken casserole, green jello salad, rolls and green cake (for St. Patrick's Day).
Raffle drawing were held during the lunch break. Special thanks to Trizah, Onya, and Eileen for the gift baskets they put together. Also special thanks to all to brought raffle items and to the following vendors who donated to our Chapter: Maxine Thomas Country Primatives, Della Wetterman and Company, Jarden Branded Consumables, Stencils by Nancy, Lowel-Cornell, and Royal Brushes. A special thanks to Helen Mahoney for the lovely favor boxes she made for each attendee.
Each evening a number of the ladies went to dinner with Heidi. Thursday it was to the Two Bit Cafe, Friday was Rovalis Ristorante, and Saturday the El Matador.
The Chapter gave Heidi two thank you gifts. The first was a Chicken book, signed by everyone. The second was a Stork Pourer (see picture below).
