2013 August Newsletter
,

Hello Ladies,

Hope your summer is going well and you’re keeping cool and well hydrated. We sure could use the rain that they keep talking about. And speaking of Summer, isn’t the year just flying by.

Nancy’s July class was fun and the Folk Art Chicken turned out so cute. I sure like mine. It was nice to see Mickey, Carol and June as well as all of the regulars. Nancy won the fifty-fifty raffle prize.

In August Terry will be teaching a Halloween basket with a lid. Another Cute piece.

The September seminar will be taught by Carl Larson. The design is an old Swedish style. The clock and pattern are from the Mora region of Sweden. The Swedish only use a few colors that are usually painted very transparent. We planned two days of delicious lunches and will have some great raffle prizes. The class is limited to twenty-four students so hurry and sign up before all seats are taken.

Come join us for great classes and an enjoyable time to visit with friends. We do have a great Chapter, lets keep it going with lots of member Participation.

Thanks and Keep on Painting!

Lydia

2013 Paint-ins
The Board would like some input from the Chapter members about next year's Paint-ins and fall Seminar. What kind and style of projects would you like to paint? Who would you like as teachers? Would you willing to teach a class and if so, what would you teach? Please give this some serious thought. We are here for You. Contact any of the Board members with your ideas.

2013 Chapter Service Project
This year again, the Chapter will be continuing the Food Drive as our Community Service Project. Last year was very successful and we hope to do even better this year. Members are urged to bring items for the Food Bank to each Paint-in and Seminar they attend. (See our Food Bank Donations Guideline page for information on acceptable items or go the the Utah Food Bank web site for more information.) There is a lot of need, so we hope everyone will support this effort.
