2014 February Newsletter
THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH
"The
New Year lies before you like a spotless tract of snow. Be careful
how you tread on it, for every mark will show."
Happy
Valentine's Day
We
had a great January paint-in and I was glad there was such a great
turn out. Eileen always does such a good job of teaching and picks
the most interesting projects. Everyone in the class seemed to really
enjoy it.
The
Board and myself would like to see more of our members volunteer to
teach a class and project, as I'm sure everyone has some interesting
and illuminating techniques we would all like to learn. If you are
interested, please phone Tirzah at 801-825-2660. Remember "by
learning you will teach, by teaching you will learn".
February
paint-in project is a "Butter Print Chicken Plate" by
JoSonja Jansen and will be taught by Tirzah Probasco on February 22nd
, 10:00 a.m. at Westwood Village. Everyone please check our blog site
for further details and with Tirzah to sign up if you have not
already done so.
Hope
you have all signed up for the April Seminar. Check out the blog site
for pictures and details. We have the cabinets being made and they
will be available shortly.
Hope
to see you soon and may God bless you all.

The Board would like some input from the Chapter members about next year's Paint-ins and fall Seminar. What kind and style of projects would you like to paint? Who would you like as teachers? Would you willing to teach a class and if so, what would you teach? Please give this some serious thought. We are here for You. Contact any of the Board members with your ideas.
2014 Chapter Service Project
This year again, the Chapter will be continuing the Food Drive as our Community Service Project. Last year was very successful and we hope to do even better this year. Members are urged to bring items for the Food Bank to each Paint-in and Seminar they attend. (See our Food Bank Donations Guideline page for information on acceptable items or go the the Utah Food Bank web site for more information.) There is a lot of need, so we hope everyone will support this effort.
