Wow, already into July. In honor of our Veterans, we will be doing a service project making lap throws for George E. Wahlen Veterans Home in Ogden, Utah. Please come support our Chapter, bring friends, kids, neighbors and plenty of fleece and scissors to help us make these throws for our countries heroes. Before we know it, winter will be here and they will be in need of warm blankets.
A
huge Thanks to Lisa Peck for driving up from SLC to teach us the
beautiful Partridge Primer by Erika Joanne. Not only did we learn to
use the colored pencils along with our paints but we had a blast with
Lisa and her darling bubbly personality. Everyone did so well and we
had so many different surfaces making for some extraordinary pieces.
We
have a great selection of teachers and projects coming up for our
Saturday paint-ins and October Seminar. Don’t forget to check out
the classes and sign up.
Have
an incredible month of July and be aware of safety out there. Too
many people are being injured or losing their lives this year.

2016 Chapter Service Project
This year the Chapter will again have a donation box for the Food Bank where people can drop in spare change or a dollar or two. You'd be surprised how quickly little bits can add up. There is a lot of need, so we hope everyone will support this effort.
Chapter Board Meetings
The Chapter Board meets the first Friday of the month at 10 am at the Riverdale Senior Center, 4433 S. 900 W. in Riverdale. This is as open meeting and all members are welcome. If you have ideas and/or issues that you would like the Chapter to address, please come and let the Board know. This is your Chapter and your input is important.
Raffles
This year we would like to ask all members to bring a NICE raffle item. You will receive two Christmas raffle tickets for your item. Painting supplies like palette paper, brushes, and tracing paper are always welcome as are nice wood or metal surfaces. Other items could include potted plants and candy. If you would like to receive it, it will probably make a good raffle item.
Christmas Raffle
This year at our Christmas Party we will again be having a special raffle. The gift basket includes a tin tea set make by the renowned Canadian tin maker Robert Faulkner. Tickets will be on sale from now until the drawing at the party. The cost is $1.00 per ticket or 6 for $5.00. You do NOT have to be present to win.
