2019 September Newsletter
Hello Ladies,
I hope all is going well with you and yours. I sure feel like fall is creeping in. Love it.
First off we want to send out best wishes to Pat Reeder for a speedy recovery after knee surgery.
Terry, thanks for a wonderful class on the Battenburg lace. I truly enjoyed it. All the pieces were beautiful and several people completely finished the piece in class. Yahoo!!
And speaking of fall, we're looking forward to the fall seminar with Heidi England and her Frog Bench. There will be a prep session on September 28th at the Westwood Club House. So bring your bench and get the prepping done. It will save you a lot of time if you have the bench already coated with one coat of White Gesso and completely dry. The gesso seals and the piece and is the base for all the other painting. See you there!
During the seminar we will be voting for the 2020 Board offices. Ballots will also be emailed to those who are unable to attend the seminar.
In November, Nancy Coley will be teaching a Margaret Wehlking stroke work piece on a surface of your choice. Please note the date, November 9th, is the 2nd Saturday, not the usual 4th.
Next year we have some very wonderful teachers lined up. The 2020 class schedule will be posted at a later date so stay tuned.
Finally, remember: Don't cry over the past, it's gone. Don't stress about the future, it hasn't arrived. Live in the present and make it beautiful.
Take care and see you soon.
Lydia

This year we would like to ask all members to bring a NICE raffle item. You will receive two Christmas raffle tickets for your item. Painting supplies like palette paper, brushes, and tracing paper are always welcome as are nice wood or metal surfaces. Other items could include potted plants and candy. If you would like to receive it, it will probably make a good raffle item.
