2019 November Newsletter
Hello Everyone,
Welcome
to fall, and with Fall we had a wonderful seminar with Heidi England.
She designed a bench with frogs for the Chapter and taught it.
Everyone enjoyed painting their bench and gave each frog their own
personal look. All so cute!
During
the seminar we held the yearly voting for new officers. The following
were the lucky winners voted in: President: Helen Mahoney, 1st
VP: Pat Reeder, Treasurer: Gloria Eldridge, and Secretary: Nancy
Litz.
At the
seminar, we had both a silent auction and our regular raffles. The
new secretary Nancy Litz was the very lucky winner of many of the
drawings and the auction items. Way to go Nancy.
Speaking
of lucky winners, I feel that we were all winners at the seminar for
painting with such a special lady like Heidi. She is as wonderful as
ever with her wit and great painting tips. We also had two delightful
visitors,------Jody from Colorado and Onya from California. Welcome
and thanks to both of you for coming. And much thanks to our regular
attendees and everyone that helped to make the seminar happen.
Especially Tirzah.
Nancy
Coley will be teaching a beautiful Strokework piece on November 9th
. Note that this is the first Saturday of the month, not the usual
4th.
Remember
the Chapter end of year Christmas party. Check the blog for details.
Thanks
and hope to see you there.

Chapter Dues
Yes, it's that time of year again. I'm sure most of you have received notice from SDP about your national membership renewal with your last Decorative Painters magazine. National dues need to be postmarked before December 1st to avoid their $5 postage/handling fee. (Pay SDP dues directly to the Society.)
It is not to early to pay your 2019 local dues ($15). Checks can be made out to Golden Spike Decorative Painters and mailed to the Chapter at 295 W Ctr Street, PO 302, Willard, UT 84340.
This year we would like to ask all members to bring a NICE raffle item. You will receive two Christmas raffle tickets for your item. Painting supplies like palette paper, brushes, and tracing paper are always welcome as are nice wood or metal surfaces. Other items could include potted plants and candy. If you would like to receive it, it will probably make a good raffle item.
