Hello Ladies,
Hard to believe that September is here already! And it will be a busy month. Labor Day on the 6th, Paint-in with Terry on the 11th, and Heidi England's Seminar September 29th thru October 1st.
This month is also Tirzah's 90th birthday. We know you all join us in wishing her all the best.
Hope all of you have signed up and sent your deposit for the seminar. The fire screens will be ready soon. We will e-mail you as soon as you can pick yours up. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

2021 Seminars and Paint-ins

Prep Instructions:
Base coat with Antique White. Rim of tray is painted Cocoa. Dry. Apply pattern.
The Paint-in will be held at the Westwood Village Clubhouse (1111 N. 2000 W., Farr West, UT).Take I-15 #346 and go north on 2000 W/UT-126 0.6 of mile. The Clubhouse is on the west side of the street with parking on the west side of the building.

More Painting Opportunities - Utah Guild of Heritage Artists (SLC)
Sept 4 - Chickadee (Yes we know it's the holiday weekend but this worked for most people) - Chickadee taught by Betty - 9 am at Glenna's and ZOOM - colored pencil - $5 to cover overhead costs - Contact Pat McKean to sign up.
October 15 and 16 - Sandy Mc Tier Seminar (in person at the studio as of now) [acrylics]
Paints will be supplied. To keep prices down you will need to supply your own surface(s). $100 per day for members; an additional $25 per day ($50 if doing both days) for non-members or become a member for $25.

October 15th - Journal Pages (or other surface approximately 7 X 10) - Acrylics/Mixed Media - Stencils, stamps, etc possible. Grateful page will be main page - will work on other as Grateful page dries. The Grumbacher Journal with removable and returnable pages (7X10) is currently on sale at Michael's buy one get one 50% off (I am told). I saw them at WalMart on Ft Union and 1300 E for $13.56.
October 16th - Red Hibiscus - acrylics on canvas or wood panel board 9 X12.
November 20 - Water droplets on a cabbage leaf - Jacque will be teaching on a Journal page or alternate surface $10 - this is acrylics
Heidi England literally had a hobby turn into a career. Her early training took place at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts. It was later she met and studied with Jo Sonja Jansen in Conroe, Texas. Heidi relates, "It was here that Jo Sonja introduced Folk Art into my life -- and I fell in love with the art form and its history. This was 45 years ago! Jo has been my teacher ever since.”

She has taught in America, Canada, Australia, France and Japan. Heidi has four books on the subject of Folk Art.
She feels very honored to have been invited to share designs in the Artist's Journal", "The Decorative Painter", and "Paint Craft" of Japan. She has also developed a line of Pattern Packets.
