FALL 2011 SEMINAR ALERT !!

Your board has been very busy planning for the next few seminars for the Golden Spike painters. We talked to many teachers at the Las Vegas Convention and made some very good contacts.

Are you ready to venture. . .Down Roads. . . .Less Traveled? Good! We have a very special seminar planned for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday September 21, 22, and 23, of 2011. Bill Bayer, from Valley Park, Missouri will be teaching his version of an old masters' canvas titled "The White Horse". See the photo as it is much more than just a horse.

He taught this canvas at the Las Vegas Convention and it is a fabulous scene and very adorable! Bill studied with Johnny Liliedahl before her death and applies the old masters' techniques in his paintings

He will provide the 20x24 inch canvas (with pattern applied), oil paints and mediums and color photo with written instructions. He also has a table easel for everyone and some loaner brushes you can barrow. No need for anyone to invest in any supplies unless you may want to purchase a few brushes. He only used five brushes for this painting.

I know a lot of you are not accustom to painting in oil, but it is very easy to convert. It is much easier for us to try oils than oil painters to try acrylics. Are you ready to paint outside the box??? Why not give it a try . . .Down Roads. . .Less Traveled.

SPRING 2012 SEMINAR REMINDER

We have also scheduled Heidi England to return in the spring of 2012. She will be teaching a wonderful Noah's Ark table on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday March 15, 16 and 17 of 2012. Does that sound like a long way off? We do need to get ahead of the game.
