Dear Painters:
I hope everyone has enjoyed this warm weather we have had because it will soon be fall again. I love the fall season.
I'm so excited for this month's seminar with Bill Bayer. I have not used oils for years. It should be great fun for everyone.
Thank you Kristen for our wonderful August Paint-in. It is always so nice when you come and teach our Chapter.
October 22nd Judy Graham will be teaching a Jo Sonja pattern. Tirzah (801-825-2660) will be ordering the tins that it is painted on. If you want a tin ordered for you, you need to let her know by September 8th.
Please remember to bring your food items for the Chapter's food drive. Articles in the paper and on TV say that local food banks are in real need of donations.
I look forward to painting with you at the Seminar.
Keep painting.
Nancy

September Bill Bayer Seminar
Bill “Ridley” Bayer began painting as a hobby in 1988. The following year he studied with Bob Ross and became a certified instructor of Bob’s wet on wet technique. He has since studied with many other well know artists developing his own style of painting. Bill has published five instructional books and three DVD's titled "Down Roads... Less Traveled" showcasing his talents. Bill uses his middle name “Ridley” as his signature. Ridley was also his grandfather’s name and Bill signs his paintings in “Paps” honor. Bill and his wife Fran live in St. Louis Mo and many of Bill’s compositions are inspired by the beautiful countryside surrounding their home. Bill paints in oils, acrylic and watercolor and travels across the country teaching the techniques he has learned.

2012 Elections
It may seem early, but it is time to be thinking about the Chapter officers for 2012. We need people for the positions of President, 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents, Secretary and Treasurer. The Chapter also needs Chairpersons for Seminars/Paint-ins, Christmas Party, Service Project Coordinator, Grants/Publicity and Web/Newsletter Editor. The Chapter needs You, so please give serious thought about serving as an officer for 2012.
