Hello Ladies,
Sorry to be so late with my newsletter notes. I was in Las Vegas for the convention. My daughter and I drive down. The weather behaved for us and was even better than the weather men predicted. There wasn't even any traffic to compete with.
The Convention was nice this year. Lots of new stuff to see with good buys on palette paper and brushes. I talked to potential teachers for future seminars. I also ran into Bill Bayer, last falls seminar teacher. Bill is still the same funny guy.
We have a nice line up of teachers and projects for this year. In April we will have a Beginner painting class for anyone with an interest in painting. So if you know anyone who wants to learn, bring them and join us. (See newsletter for more details.)
Also, please remember to bring a item for our food drive so that we can help those in need.
So come and join us for fun and relaxation.
Lydia

2012 Chapter Service Project
This year again, the Chapter will be continuing the Food Drive as our Community Service Project. Last year was very successful and we hope to do even better this year. Members are urged to bring items for the Food Bank to each Paint-in and Seminar they attend. (See our Food Bank Donations Guideline page for information on acceptable items or go the the Utah Food Bank web site for more information.) There is a lot of need, so we hope everyone will support this effort.

President - Lydia Gossett Wendy Ouellette
1st VP - Gloria Eldridge Glenda Mitchell
Past President - Nancy Coley Helen Mahoney
Treasurer - Eileen Barnard Stefanie Sidwell
Secretary - Sandy Reeder Rosina Lettre
Blog - Terry Pulver
Seminars/Paint-ins - Tirzah Probasco
Lydia open the meeting at 10:15 by welcoming everyone to the February Paint-in.
First she introduced our newest member Stefanie Sidwell and welcomed her to the Chapter.
She informed everyone that Tirzah would be arriving around 11 am with the tables and patterns for the seminar for those who have paid. Also Carol will be coming at noon with the tin ware. Carol will be teaching the May Paint-in (Stroke Work on tin) so this is a good chance to get a surface if you need one.
Lydia urged everyone to bring a guest to the April beginners class. The cost for the class will be $7.50 for both the member and their guest. The Chapter will provide the surface, the members are to bring paints and brushes. It is a good way to introduce new people to painting.
Then she turned the time over to Eileen.
