2014 September Newsletter

THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH:
"You're on the right path. On the way to your dreams. It can seem like you're stuck in the slow lane, snarled in traffic, endlessly detoured or just plain lost. But you have the best GPS there is: your heart! Follow it, and it can get you out of any jam---and on your way again!"

Hi Painters!

Well ladies, this has really held true for me during the past few weeks. As most of you know, I had to have my car repaired just when we were ready to leave on a vacation. We were delayed for a couple of weeks but things have finally worked out and we will finally get our vacation. Hoorah!

The Faberge' Egg class with Lisa was great fun. Turnout was small, but those of us who were there really got some beautiful eggs done and learned a lot from Lisa. Thanks again Lisa for taking time out of your busy schedule to share your information with us.

I hope everyone is signed up for the fall seminar. Checks out our blog for what we will be painting, cost, etc.

Everyone enjoy our great fall-like weather. The peaches are coming on so we can all have some wonderful peaches and cream as well as fresh peach pie.

I want to bring to your attention that we would like EVERYONE TO COME AND JOIN US, bring your unfinished pieces and Trizah will help you finish them. We meet at the Riverdale Senior Center on Wednesday's from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. They also serve a great lunch for $2,50. This is a wonderful place to paint and we have lots of fun.

Hope we see you all when I get back from from delayed vacation and may God bless.
Gloria

2015 Paint-ins
The Board would like some input from the Chapter members about next year's Paint-ins and fall Seminar. What kind and style of projects would you like to paint? Who would you like as teachers? Would you willing to teach a class and if so, what would you teach? Please give this some serious thought. We are here for You. Contact any of the Board members with your ideas.

2014 Chapter Service Project
We need your support for the Chapters Food Drive!!!  This is our Community Service Project for the year. Please bring items for the Food Bank to each Paint-in and Seminar they attend. (See our Food Bank Donations Guideline page for information on acceptable items or go the the Utah Food Bank web site for more information.) There is a lot of need, so we hope everyone will support this effort.
