Hello Ladies!
Things are opening up! Yahooooooo!!!!
In order to get our Chapter running again, we are going to have a social. It would be greatly appreciated if everyone brought one or two of their piece to the social so new members could get an idea of what we have done and things we will be doing. We are hoping that everyone could invite people who may be interested in joining the Chapter.
The Get-to-Gather will be on July 10 th at 10 am at the WestWood Village Clubhouse (1111 N. 2000 W., Farr West, UT).Take I-15 #346 and go north on 2000 W/UT-126 0.6 mile. The Clubhouse is on the west side of the street with parking on the west side of the building.

Crackle Medium
Prep Instructions:
Base coat with Light Avocado using a sea sponge. May take a couple of coats. Let dry. Apply Crackle Medium according to directions on bottle. The thicker the medium is applied, the larger the cracks. Let dry completely. Apply a top coat of Light Buttermilk + Buttermilk using a 1” flat brush. Fully load brush and apply with long sweeping strokes. It is important to avoid overlapping or re-stroking an area. The topcoat will begin to crack as it dries. When thoroughly dry apply pattern around gourd, walking around a little at a time.

Sage Art
Utah is a women-owned USA business comprised of four female artists
who create handmade original art to sell online in our retail store
in Ogden, Utah. We strive to provide art that is both inspiring
and brings happiness to your life. Sage Art Utah we provide
small group intimate classes where we teach you the skills behind our
passion, our artistic mediums. We have three teaching
artists that host adult art classes in Utah.
Susan
Snyder is a naturalist who produces stunning watercolor paintings
inspired by her keen eye focused on nature. The ability to bring an
organism to life on a piece of paper is a rare talent. Susan’s
observational skills are evident in each of her watercolor
compositions as she moves pigment and water in an expert manner to
capture the essence of her subject. Susan spends much of her
time working as a naturalist, honing her skills in observation and
teaching others about the remarkable world around them. Her
nature journaling pieces and workshops capture what the lens cannot,
a compendium of sights, sounds and smells during a moment in time.
Kate Bruce 
produces bright and bold acrylic paintings of flowers and charming animals that
are sure to make you smile. The process of Kate’s paintings includes all the materials you would expect from an acrylic and mixed media painter along with a large dose of her secret ingredient, joy. Her bright and bold florals, landscapes and animals are lovingly created with intent, a slow process and a talented eye. Kate feels that many of her paintings find their voice in their second or third iterations, when the layers of paint finds its balance in color, texture and composition. Kate’s contemporary art is never static as she finds satisfaction only when working through new ideas and altered styles, illustrating her commitment to the learning process.
Amie Preston hand forges silver and copper jewelry that has a story to tell, deliberate in its
creation and engaging in its presentation. Amie Preston believes every piece of her artful handmade jewelry has a story. The shape of the stone, its smoothness, and how it responds to her hands all play a role in the narrative. Her works are comfortable, timeless and valued heirloom treasures, and furthermore the story of Amie’s jewelry continues once it becomes part of you. Amie’s love and commitment to the process of creating artistic jewelry is as honest as her love for her family and friends who surround and support her passion.
Barb Crosbie uses her muddy hands in Alabama to shape fantastic functional forms. The
pottery that comes out of Barb’s kiln reflects the marriage of her passions, clay art and earth science. Her work combines elements of her time spent sampling aquatic environments, her love of being outside and the joy of feeling earth’s elements in her hands. Barb strives to make her art joyful, functional and ergonomic, a pleasure to both look at and use. Her works change with her location, from whimsical birds resembling those in her yard to the fish she catches on her many adventures.
