 2022 October Newsletter

Hello Painters,

The Witch Banner we did with Tirzah was really fun. There were some very ugly/cute greenfaced witches to be seen!

Helen will be teaching a Winter Tree and Forest Friends on watercolor paper in October.

We have moved the Cookie exchange to November when we will be doing a Fridge Magnet/Note pad with Tirzah. It should be both enjoyable and tasty, so watch the newsletter for more information.

Prep Instructions:

Trace pattern onto your watercolor paper (140 lb). I find it easy to tape the paper to a window (as in Carol Sphon's class) and trace.

Wet your paper and splatter with Mouse. This allows for the color to spread. Let paper dry for a moment and then pat excess water off the paper. This step may be repeated to achieve the affect you desire.

Note: This painting technique requires you to stay within the lines with very light washes of color. If you do go out of the lines, you need to have a damp towel or cotton swab to pat and remove the color from the area.

The Paint-in will be held at the Westwood Village Clubhouse (1111 N. 2000 W., Farr West, UT).Take I-15 #346 and go north on 2000 W/UT-126 0.6 of mile. The Clubhouse is on the west side of the street with parking on the west side of the building.
